Manways Available in many different types, Alfa Laval can provide manways for all application needs. Both pressure and non-pressure covers are available and can be positioned on the top or side of the tank. Optional hinges and flat or angled ring frames optimize tank productions. All Alfa Laval manways are supplied with Material Test Reports (MTRs). Round Types Round types are normally mounted above the maximum liquid level in the tank. A broad range of sizes is available - from hand holes to oversized manways - for use in hazardous applications where tank entry using breathing apparatus is necessary. Non-pressure types, with a specially designed double lip seal, enable leak-free cleaning in place - and facilitate use on transportable tanks. Alfa Laval offers manways for pressure applications in a wide range of sizes, suitable for pressures up to 145 psi and full-vacuum working conditions. Selected products conform to international standards for transportation by road tankers. |

Oval Types Oval types are normally mounted below the working level of the tank. Versions are available for a combination of static head and top pressure, and for static head only.
